I hope Thanksgiving went well for everyone. Mine was quiet. I slept a lot of it off, and watched part of a Law & Order marathon. Typical holiday :)

When I went to visit my grandparents in September, grandpa loaded us down with surplus sweet potatoes. They made an awesome pie, which is almost gone. There's plenty of potatoes left, though, so yay. I guess I'll have to work on the pumpkin pie once my pie of choice has been consumed.

Black Friday: Whoops, I missed most of it.

I flashed my old router with Tomato Firmware, in an attempt to resolve a problem with my cell phone holding on to the Wi-Fi connection at home. It suddenly started dropping the connection all the time a few weeks ago, even when the phone was in the same room with the router. I use my phone to listen to shoutcast stations and such when I'm in bed, so having the connection drop all the time was worrying me. So far, one of my stations has been playing for over an hour without a drop, so I'm hoping it's working. Hopefully I can get some quality Youtube time in again.

Galena Vest FO Pic

Galena Vest

Here is the Galena vest. It's a pretty easy pattern to follow, and it's really comfortable. The only reason I haven't worn it sooner is because of the ends. They are sewn in, but I'm thinking about whipstitching them down on the inside instead of cutting them short. Caron Country is kind of slick, and I'm afraid the ends could work their way out.

I did do one small modification, I useed a smaller hook for a few rows when I got to the waist, just to give it a little nip. I couldn't really tell the difference when I tried it on, but that's probably a good thing (meaning I didn't take it too far and make it uncomfortable).

So, yay!
