I've been messing around with needle-made lace instead.
These Teneriffe medallions were made a few weeks ago. It's not all of them, but the ones I could get a decent shot of.
This was one of the first ones I made that I didn't toss. Made with funky green crochet cotton:

I worked it on a round piece of plastic canvas. I got hooked and bought a couple of Teneriffe forms called Stitch-Arounds (plastic with evenly spaced holes and guide lines) and made a few more. I had wanted one of these a long time ago, but it took some searching to find a place that still sold them.

I was really happy with this one:

This big guy is six inches around, and it took forever. The spiral in the center isn't quite right, but I'm still practicing.

I even pulled out my box of lacemaking bobbins last week and decided to give it another try. It makes more sense to me now than it did when I bought the stuff years ago. I'm still learning the basics right now, so there isn't much to show. I'm going to take my time with it before I start buying fine threads. I don't want to over spend and then find out I don't want to keep going after all.
In knit and crochet news, I have a summer top I started over the winter that needs to be finished up. It's been sitting since my winter classes took over my life. There's a sock that needs to be finished, but the cables are making me avoid it. I've seen quite a few things I would like to make, but I'm not in the mood to start anything right now. I almost feel like I should have my Ravelry account revoked.
Umm, forget I said that.
